Language course in France

A half year ago I figured it would be nice to go to France after my exams. But, the idea fizzled out a bit and I didn't look at an organisation like EF or Travel Active.
But now my mum asked me if I still wanted this. I asked that it sounds so nice. So I looked on the website of EF and Travel Active and I came to the conclusion that I want to go!

A friend of me will go to France too, next year! I think we will have a lot to each other, with figuring out things, arranging the trip and much more. I don't think we can go together, but who knows.

Travel Active speaks to me the most, so I printed out some information and soon I will request some extra information about the courses. I looked at the program and the cities that are listed are: Nice, Paris, Amboise and La Rochelle. Nice speaks to me the most and my friend wil go to Nice too.

Does anyone have experience with language courses abroad? Suggestions are welcome! So leave your comment please!

And here is... My new love!

Waah! I'm so happy! A week ago I bought a new camera (Canon EOS 1000D)! I'm so happy with it, I saved a long time for a SLR. Last week we had testweek so I couldn't use it because I had to learn. So today was the day that I first met my camera!

I'm sorry that I didn't post much, and tomorrow I'll write much more about my new love!

Q&A

- How many cameras do you have?
I have one camera which I often photograph (Panasonic DMC-TZ4), that's just a compact camera but I'm saving for an SLR. I have also two old cameras which I received from my grandfather (Rolleiflex and Praktica), but for these cameras you need a roll film so that's a little bit expensive for making pictures all the time. But for 'Sinterklaas' (like Santa Claus) I'm going to ask some rolls!

- How did you get the idea to create a blog?
I saw some other blogs and I thought, I want that too! So I started a blog, first in my own language (Dutch) but when I got more followers I thought: Let's do it in English! And it suits me fine, now I have more foreign followers and I like that. My english isn't flawless but the point is that you know what I want to tell, a blog is not some homework which is controlled by the teacher, haha!

- Where do you get your inspiration?
Of course other blogs, video clips (I like video clips with a hippie feeling, that kind of clips can be inspiration for my pictures), other fashion sites, books and the daily life.

- What is your favorite fairy tale?
That's a difficult question! When I was little I liked Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood, now I like Hansel and Gretel because the house of the witch is so nice with all that candy! It gives me inspiration for paintings and pictures.

- What do you want to be?
Photographer! And I like Graphic Designer. After the secondary school I'll go to the art academy and the first year you'll get all different art forms so I can also choose a direction after that year.

- Do you choose the creative side or rather a regular job?
Surely the creative side!

Fireplaces and hot chocolate

Yesterday I shopped with a friend in Rotterdam and Amsterdam! It was so nice, I've bought a lot at Primark. We took a look at Monki, but that was a bit disappointing. The jackets were sooooo oversized that it wasn't pretty. And I think the clothing wasn't you from the. But, never mind, after that we searched for... Episode! We were about to give up the search but at that time Mirre shouted "THERE!", so that was luckily! We walked inside and I was sold. What an amazing shop, seriously. I love it so much! Vintage, vintage, vintage. Nice skirts. Nice shirts. Nice shoes. Nice vests. Nice jackets. Nice blouses. Nice bags. Nice hats. Tt is officially awarded to my favorite store! I bought a very nice men checkered shirt and a dark blue hat. Thanks Episode, for being there!

Oh, hippy feeling

I look forward to later, when I'm in my brightly colored, sprinkled with peace symbols VW van driving through the quiet, innocent country, searching for the most amazing or most normal places for making pictures. With my camera in my hand and some food and a sleeping bag for when it's too late for driving home. My best friend in the passenger seat, she with the same taste in clothes, sense of humor and interests like me.

Then arriving in densely populated city with enough space in my van for the clothes that we are gonna shop!

Stuff for rainy days

Ooooh, Holland. You have school, there are tropical temperatures. You have holiday, Holland seems like the North Pole. Okay, that was a little bit exaggerated, but it's raining all the time, the temperatures are low so you can't wear your favorite summer dress or skirt, the wind is icy cold, and then, of course, the sun stars shining again when you go to school. Hmm, not nice.

But, there are always some nice magazines about how to prepare your wardrobe for Winter. You can swoom with beautiful bags, shoes, clothing... Delicious with a cup of coffee on the bench, Muse in your ears, nail polish on the table, ready for use. Okay, I don't say it often, I really wouldn't say, but Winter, here I come.

Shopping: Maastricht

Okay, let's start with last saturday. Saturday I was in Maastricht, of course for shopping! I just bought one top, no more because I haven't much money for clothes now. But I bought some new jewelry too!
